Originally released 10/15/2019 via email to iDataCollect customers to solve an issue with selecting a radio button, checkbox, a circle, or a toggle button. Please see this article for examples of the issue under Troubleshooting. The Desktop setting for Safari may also correct other issues and should be checked periodically.
iPad software versions 12 or lower continue to work as normal. PC/Desktop use is not affected.
If you have already updated or would like to update, to iPad software version(s) 13 and higher, you must take the following steps to maintain iDataCollect functionality.
- On your iPad, open Safari, or your preferred website browser.
- Tap on the small A large A (AA) on the left side of the address bar (where you type a web address).
- Tap “Website Settings.”
- The “Settings for cc.idatacollect.com” box will pop up.
- Deselect “Request Desktop Website” (the button will no longer be green).
- This turns off the “Desktop Website” feature.
- Tap Done.
- Deselect “Request Desktop Website” (the button will no longer be green).
If you are not sure what version your iPad is running, please follow these steps.
- Go to Settings
- Select General
- Select About
- Find the “Software Version”
- If the software version is 13 or greater, please follow the steps above

- Please email Support@iDataCollect.com to report your issues, so we will know which users have been affected by the iPad software update.
